Do you or do you not carry , and if you do, what/how in an environment that is "non-permissive" and how you define that. Yeah, it is complex, and you have to define that for yourself, sometimes.

In church, when I do go, I do carry though that location and condition is sometimes not well defined and the authority is vague. Then, it is a KelTec P3AT in the right side trousers, in a very servicable Uncle Mike's pocket holster that covers the trigger. Nothing else at all in that pocket, a spare mag in the left pocket.

Likewise to the doctors' offices, except in Maryland, which I leave everything home except the pocket-knife.

When I go to the Court House, leave the regular EDC and spare mag in the car - yeah, it is not the most secure but it'll do, 'cause I so seldom go there.

I have, once, been taken to the ER via ambulnasty and I informed the EMT's of it so they had security meet me at the door and they took possession of it and turned it over to my spouse when she left that evening because she does have an LCTF.

I seldom go where carry is iffy, and that's my general thought and method, but each place presents its own circumstance and each one gets through a similar process.

I tend to just keep things simple, you know not push my luck too much. Some situations just aren't worth the trouble or the risk. I'd much rather just adapt to what's going on than try to force something that isn't working.

Everyone's got a slightly different idea of where that line is, I guess. Me? I just keep it simple. I don't try to twist rules or stretch things just so I can stay armed. Some places, well, some places are just a clear no-go.

At my advanced age, I remain ultra aware of situations and surroundings. If I'm not carrying because of laws (Schools , Gov't bldgs, large events, etc.), I watch peoples body signs movements and I try to spot items usable as defense aids. )silverware, throwable items, plates, broken plates held in a napkin, decorative pieces, belt I wear that's not needed for my pants fit. The main thing I always have and try to keep in 100% shape is my Mental attitude. (when-or when not to). My motto: "I'm trying to live forever; SO far, so good!"
