Hey everyone! I’m in need of a good local gunsmith. If you’ve had any great experiences with one for things like custom work or repairs, please share their info. Always nice to have trusted referrals.

I like McCauslin Rifles, Chad McCauslin is a great gunsmith and a real nice guy. He used to work for Mr. Moyer at Moyer’s gun shop in Carlisle he since opened his own place in Dillsburg and is set up pretty nice. I’m in Wellsville so I’m glad he moved closer to my home. GUN SHOP

I'm old enough in the MLing sport, they refer to us as Greybeards. I've been doing it since building my first kit flintlock in 1978; until my last custom build in 1994. What I've learned from friends and older sporting guys made me able to do some fixes and repairs on Modern and replica arms for friends and myself since. Most folks who helped me start and learn have moved (to NC, KY, MO, GA; or have passed to "the Lords Range in the Sky!) If you start a thread & title: Need Help (Repair on Firearm, fishing ??? or whatever), someone WILL respond to give assistance or info so you'll become more proficient in your skills to do your own successful projects. When doing them, you must be patient and attentive. I haven't had anyone else fix a firearm of mine since before 1987. The only costs I have are parts I cannot make and have to purchase. It becomes a pride thing!
