My daily driver is too nice to beat up on rough roads and I'm tired of worrying about scratches. I have seen some old Toyotas and Fords for cheap that still run. Is having a dedicated hunting vehicle worth it or am I just making excuses to buy another truck?

Honestly, it’s half excuse, half sanity saver, nothing beats a beat-up truck that you don’t stress over.

Having a junker truck for hunting makes sense if you're always on bad roads. I keep an old pickup just for hauling around camp and driving on muddy trails.

A cheap hunting truck actually makes things easier if you’re off-roading a lot. Not stressing about scratches or mud takes a big weight off your shoulders and makes the whole trip way more fun.

Especially when you can let your sloppy, muddy ol' dog ride shotgun without fear of the Missuz dealing with the muddy footprints on the headrest.
