For those who regularly go to gun shows, do you have any advice on what to expect and what to avoid for someone going for the first time? What do you wish someone had told you before your first gun show?

My advice is that you take your time and ask before you touch anything. You get more from know-how and talking to people than buying something you'll regret.

Go with some items in mind and search those out first but if something else catches your eye, well, we're only human. If you lack a lot of gun-savvy, take a knowledgeable friend with you. I dislike bartering but at gun shows, it's kind of expected so don't let your emotions control your wallet.

Know what you want and how much you're willing to pay. I go usually looking for 1 or 2 items besides any accessories I find. I know the value of what I want so I don't get scammed by typical gun show prices. If I can't negotiate I don't but unless it's something unique and the price is close.
