Some of you might already be aware of this website but if not, check out Ammoguide Interactive (ammoguideinteractive.com). It's membership cost is very affordable and it lists all the data published by the powder and bullet manufacturers as well as from members. When I first got into Ackley Improved cartridges it was a huge help to me. Instead of following the customary process of starting with the maximum load for the standard cartridge, I was able to see what recipes had worked for others. and work from there.

Just thought this might be useful for some of you.

I'm waiting for my gunsmith to convert my 280Rem to the 280AC. What powder and loads do the recommend for the Nosler Accubond bullets? I'm probably just going to shoot the 140,150 160gr bullets.
Thanks Ed

I tried a lot of the popular powders - the 4350s, 4831s and a few others but found RL22 gave me the accuracy I want (one-ragged-hole groups at 100 yards) with great velocity - 3,344 FPS with 139-grain Hornady GMX or CX bullets. You should try them - they are lead-free and are actually a little more accurate and faster in my rifle than 140-grain Berger VLDs.

How about that - another "Edmund!"

I haven't used Ammoguide myself yet, but it looks super helpful. Being able to see what loads worked for others is way better than guessing, especially with Ackley Improved cartridge

Thanks for sharing.

Not Ed :)
