I showed up thinking I was pretty decent, then watched a 70-year-old woman in a sundress outshoot me with iron sights while I was struggling with my red dot. She was putting them all in a 2-inch group at 25 yards like she was knitting. I couldn't even keep them on paper. Sometimes you need that ego check to remember you've still got work to do

With an extensive military experience and a few years of serious plinking, I bought a new 1911 and took it and this young redheaded girl (who soon became Mrs. Flash) with me to the range. I demonstrated it for her by putting four of seven in the black at twenty yards. I loaded eight for her and she immediately popped six of eight in the black, and a much tighter group.

Yeah, my experience goes right along with yours, guys.
