Are you honest about bailing or make up excuses?

Do you just tell people straight up "don't feel like it" or do you make up reasons? I respect honesty but sometimes a little white lie is easier. What's your approach? Anyone brave enough to just say no without explaining?

I try to be honest now. I just say I’m staying in tonight and that’s it. I don’t make up long stories. People seem to respect that more than if I made some weak excuse.

That, right there! Most people really prefer the straight truth. After a certain age, embellishment is just a game for the amateurs, the not-so-sure, the pretenders.
