Stop passing on animals waiting for "the perfect one"

I went home empty-handed two years in a row because I was too picky. I passed on good animals holding out for giants that never showed. Next year I'm being more realistic about my expectations. Anyone else need to adjust their standards and just enjoy the hunt more?

I stopped seeing every hunt as a competition. Taking it easy and just having fun outdoors made me much happier even if I didn’t catch anything.

I had to learn that myself. Tags filled with average animals still feel like a win and waiting too long for the best one can mess up the trip.
