On my first hunting trip, I learned a lot the hard way. I didn’t dress properly for the cold, overestimated my stamina and forgot to double-check my gear. By the end of the day, I was cold and humbled, but it taught me what really matters for future hunts.

That first hunt humbles everyone and those lessons stick for every hunt after.

My first trip taught me a lot and watching pros showed me how important planning is. I quit copying gear lists and started copying what they did.

My first hunt made me realize that pa mountains and idaho mountains are not the same and being in better shape was just as important as being stubborn
