Perfect carry revolver?

Taurus 605. I have a blued one and a matte finish. Matte finish get most of the work. The blued one is sentimental. Can run .357 and .38 specials.

J-frame. Love 'em all. Had a couple of S&W, several Taurus 85, but now thinned the herd to just one - A Charter Arms Undercover Stainless, with a factory-custom bobbed hammer and no-snag front sight. Vintage 1979-80.
I found a stainless Rossi Model 88 for my wife, 3" bbl, square butt. Needs a spring, but she likes it. I load 130 gr conical cast-lead flat-point for her to 38S&W pressure/velocity.

On my property, it could be a Colt SSA in 45 Colt or a New Model Blackhawk in 41 mag. For carrying in deep cover I have a 442 Smith and Wesson. The 442 ride on my left ankle for 26 years. If you really learn to shoot a 2 inch Smith it's amazing what accuracy you can get.

Wow that's a "loaded" question! Really. If I'm carrying a revolver it depends why I'm carrying it. If I'm hunting I carry my 4" Taurus 357 except when hunting bear with my muzzleloader then I switch to my 4" Taurus .44 mag Tracker Lite.
But when I'm just hiking around I'm usually carrying my Taurus G2C 9mm. You see a trend here? Taurus was junk when they first came out but IMO they've become a very good reliable firearms manufacturer. I do have a S&W M&P40 that get some carry time too like when I'm up the cabin because of its capacity. Everyday carry almost always goes to my S&W M&P Shield 9mm because of its concealability.
I don't carry a revolver for everyday but it I did it would be a small Taurus 605 2" barrel and likely loaded with 38s.

Self defense against what? Man - I'd like to have my G2C 9mm but for bears, knowing what i do now I'd go with a 10mm pistol, probably a Taurus TH10.
S&W 340PD.
Lightest 357 available. 98% of the time I pocket carry it with .38 special wadcutters.
2% of the time it’s loaded with .357 and I hope to not have to fire 5 shots, as it’s unbearable at 3 rounds.
I haven’t taken the time yet to source every .38 plus p I can find to see if that’s worth it.
I have played with bigger grips to make 5 rounds of 357 tolerable, but none carry small enough to make that trade off worth it to me.
I have a Clipdraw clip that lets it set perfect in jeans front pocket. And the Clipdraw also fits in my 2 pocket holsters.

Iy depends. The 357 is nice but I prefer my 4" Taurus Tracker Lite in 45 mag. It's light and powerful. A 5 shot cylinder and ported muzzle. Yes it is a handful with full house 44 mag loads but that's calmed down with 44 spl rounds in the cylinders

Mine is a 2-1/2" S&W Model 66-4 in a shoulder rig or an OWB holster.
