Hey everyone! I thought it'd be fun to have a thread where we can show off our dogs—whether they're your trusty hunting partner, a lazy porch pup, or just the ones who hog the couch!

Got a dog who loves to ride shotgun on your outdoor adventures? Or maybe a pup that has a hilarious habit of barking at their own reflection? Share your pup's name and how they became part of your family.

I'd love to hear your favorite stories from the field or even just some memorable moments in the backyard. And don't forget to post some pictures! The more slobber and fur, the better! Looking forward to seeing everyone's four-legged buddies!

Somebody had to mention dogs, didn't they ?

I've been owned for over fifty-five years by Yorkshire terriers. Not really hunting dogs, and as fishing companions, they leave a lot to be desired. But as the best of friends, loyal individuals, and partners in all sorts of endeavors, they lead the pack. This is the last of a long line of glorious, gracious dogs, she crossed "The Rainbow
Bridge" in April of last year.

I had a chocolate lab that could read my mind, I swear. And I had her well trained for waterfowl and upland game. I took my cousin out for pheasant one day with her and he brought his brittney. Not long into the hunt I told him that she was getting birdy. Soon a rooster erupted from the goldenrod and my Rajah leaped in the air and knocked it down with her paw, grabbed it and brought it to me. I politely rung its neck and put it in my vest. About 20 mins later she was working another bird and she suddenly stopped looking down then back at me. I walked up to her and she had a rooster pinned under those briars that follow the ground like a net! I reached down and pulled it out and did likewise to it. My cousin just shook his head and said "why do you even carry a gun?"
Oh she did flush one for my cousin which he shot. His brittney never did anything

Chloe is my Grand-daughter and my pal via Joint ownership. She is basically a companion as she doesn't go afield and hates the water. She's never been trained for the field or hunt. But, She is a great guard and protector of the family.
