I am long time collector, target shooter and part-time gunsmith. My interests are WWI / WWII era firearms, early Colt and Smith Wesson revolvers, Mossberg rifles and various 22 firearms. I am looking forward to sharing knowledge and experience with other members here. I buy, sell, trade... licensed FFL-01.

I often thought I'd like one of those big, gnarly revolvers in 45 ACP/Autorim. Colt or Smith, either one with 4" barrel, Parkerized, lanyard loop, and the look of battle in the trenches. Wonder what I'd have to pay for one of them?

A vintage 1917 S&W or Colt military issue revolver will be somewhere in the $700 - $1000 range these days. The S&W model 25-2, a modern N-frame revolver, from 1960's - 1980's, is another nice choice if you like the 45 ACP round. Uses half moon clips, nice shooter.

Wowie, that price kinda makes me rethink. Maybe I'll just have to be satisfied with my S&W Model 19's and put that 45 on the "Dream on . . ." list.
